Ávila presents its corners at FITUR 2009: rural tourism, historical heritage and nature

The Diputación de Ávila presents its new promotional brochures that invite you to discover all the corners of the province as a dozen attractions. He has presented them at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) and in them he has captured the main assets with which Ávila plays: rural tourism, historical heritage and nature.

Discover all the charming corners of the province is one of the brochures that summarizes that dozen attractions: & nbsp; ‘Ávila and its regions’,’ The colors of the Corneja to forget your worries’, ‘El Mudéjar de La Moraña will make you travel back in time ‘,’ The flowering of the cherry trees of Tiétar, an explosion of color ‘,’ Archeotourism. Celtas y Vettones, a culture to discover ‘,’ The popular architecture of the Sierra de Ávila, discover the charm and serenity of its villages ‘,’ The castles of the province. Lands of stories, deeds and legends’, ‘Active and nature tourism to broaden the view’, ‘Popular festivals and tourist interest to have fun’, ‘Quality rural tourism, better than at home’ and ‘Ávila and its gastronomy’ .

There are many fronts that the Provincial Council directs its gaze from the tourist point of view and that it also promotes at local fairs and all kinds of events that are attractions in themselves. We are promoting local activity for which we have a budget of around two million euros.

An offer that the provincial institution expands with the specific promotion of rural accommodation, through the new guide published with the title & nbsp; “Ávila. All … a pleasure” , and which is completed with the opportunities offered to the tourism sector by renewable energies and with the Service Guide, which includes hotels, rural tourism establishments, restaurants, campsites and others, which include equestrian tourism, nautical activities schools, hiking, active tourism, quads , paintball, thermal centers, congresses and tourist promotions, Spanish schools for foreigners, museums, interpretation centers, hostels, artisan workshops …

The objective of the Provincial Council is to sell everything we have, trying to take care of it more and more and highlighting that we are the pioneers in rural tourism and that we have, at the highest level, both the occupation and the proximity to Madrid. We are betting on this and on improving the quality of all offers.

In times of crisis, in rural tourism we offer quality and affordable prices. There is a great effort to seek quality and make possible achievements such as, for example, that the Wall is accessible. The crisis is noticeable in all sectors, but inland and quality tourism, such as the one we offer in our rural regions, is not being affected so much thanks to all those who have made quality tourism a goal, so that jobs are being created while we work hard to get ahead.

The city and the province have always had a very attractive tourist content because they take very seriously the possibility of valuing this sector and doing things well, we must emphasize the attractions of the Avila territory, such as rural tourism, landscapes de Gredos and the tourism of a mystical and patrimonial city.
