TOURISM: Reservations in Gredos soar, two months after the Bob Dylan concert

TOURISM : Reservations in Gredos soar, two months after the Bob Dylan concert.

There are still two months for Bob Dylan to perform in Hoyos del Espino accompanied by the Amaral duo and this appointment is already beginning to be noticed in the reservations in accommodation in the Gredos area.

One of the most significant cases is lived in Hoyos del Espino where, according to reports from Casas de Gredos, there are no rural houses available for the day of the concert, on June 28. A similar situation exists in the case of Navarredonda de Gredos, where of the 26 houses in this group only six are available, which are completed by the three that are empty in Navacepeda de Tormes and Hoyos del Collado.

For its part, the Parador de Gredos highlights the number of requests received, so it plans to fill in those days.

What is certain is that the sale of transport passes plus tickets for concerts from Ávila, Cáceres, León, Madrid, Salamanca, Segovia, Valladolid and Zamora has already begun. These vouchers can be purchased at the Barceló de Castilla y León, Cáceres and Madrid travel offices.

Prices vary from the 51 euros it costs to travel from the visitor’s reception center in the capital of Avila, to the 70 it costs for the trip and the entrance from León. From there there are different prices for the rest of the places of departure.

In addition, there is the possibility of buying only the transport vouchers, without entry, for the same places and with the same hours. The return from Hoyos del Espino will take place at approximately 2.30 am.

This is how a new step is taken in the Musicians in Nature program, an initiative of the Junta de Castilla y León, which is executed through the Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y León, and which has as objective to promote the natural wealth of the region. For this reason, concerts are organized, with international figures, in the Sierra de Gredos, to attract tourism and promote sustainable development in this space.
